Cryptic Cartography #1 - The Azure Tomb of Hemnon III

Since I love maps so much, I thought I would drop some of the old Lead Addicts' own to maps in to the Workshop of Doom. Some will be old school sketches on paper, some will be drawn digitally in Photoshop or Procreate, and maybe an isometric or 3d model or two. I have so many resources and programs for mapping, I think it would be good to explore them so followers can see some of them in action. Up first: The Azure Tomb. Table Setting -#8 - Sci Fi NPC Mood, Character, and Motivations

Have you ever wanted to quickly determine the make-up and motivations of a random NPC that your players want to know more about? How about fleshing out that informant or vendor who is pivotal to a plot hook, or becomes a familiar staple in your campaign? Here's a simple set of tables for random Sci Fi NPC Mood, Character Traits, and Motivations that will help keep things rolling. Roll once (1) on the Mood Table to get an overall mood or attitude for the NPC in their first interaction. Next, roll on the Character Table three (3) times to get the NPC's character or make up. Finally Roll once (1) on the Major Motivation Table and once (1) on the Minor Motivation Table. This should give you a nice starting point for who the NPC is and what they want. Table Setting #2 - Flora and Fauna of the Wilderness - Flora

Hello Acolytes! As I look out of the window in the Workshop of Doom, summer in the middle country is in full effect, and I am struck by the lushness and overwhelming green. So, as we think about what happens in our players journeys through the landscapes of our worlds, the flora and fauna of those landscapes help add flavor, setting, character and context to our hero's experience. Additionally, these can be used for adventure hooks from alchemists, wizards, and enterprising merchants looking to get their hands on the elusive [insert flora or fauna here]. This will start an ongoing Table Setting series on random tables for Flora and Fauna of the Wilderness, based on wilderness type.
